Using Elevators

Elevators is provided by the Elevators app team for elevator service professionals and their companies, and for building owners whose buildings we set up in the building portal. By signing in you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

You need an email address you control. Keep the sign-in codes you receive to yourself; anyone with access to your inbox can sign in as you.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you log, photograph, and upload. You grant us the rights needed to store it, show it to your teammates, back it up, and export it for your team.

Records logged under a company team are the company's business records. Owners and admins control who is on the team and can export the team's data. Do not export or copy a team's data for use outside that team without its permission.

Reports you post through a building's job link are shared with that building's owner and the people they add, and stay with the building.

Only log information you are entitled to record, including other people's contact details. Do not upload content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to share; that includes manuals and other documents whose license does not let you store them.

Safety

Elevators is a logbook. It is not an inspection, maintenance, or safety system, does not replace manufacturer documentation or code requirements, and must not be relied on as the sole record of work performed. Verify equipment state on site.

Answers filled in from a note with "Tell me what you did" are suggestions written by an AI model and can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before you save; a saved visit is your record.

Availability and data

Most of the app needs a connection. Pages you have opened before, and the units and Log visit forms they link to, open with no signal from a copy saved in your browser, which may be out of date. A new visit saved with no signal is kept in your browser and sent once the connection returns; until then it exists only in that browser, so if the browser's data is cleared or it never reconnects, the visit never reaches the server. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee it. Keep your own records where regulations require them.

Accounts and termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or others' data. Team owners and admins can remove members from their teams.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from decisions made on the basis of records in the app.

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Contact us through the Support page linked from Settings with questions.
